Project Started January 2006     :     Project Completed January 2006

In January 2006 I was contacted by an Events Organiser who wanted to discuses the possibilities of using technology to improve her working process. After discussing with her the nature of her business and how she currently uses technology in her working process, we came to the agreement that the introduction of a Tablet PC style laptop would be very helpful. In her working process she does a lot of note taking and list making, this was resulting in many different physical notepads filled with information. The first part of the project was to enable her to take notes quickly with the handwriting recognition section of the tablet PC, either by using Handwriting to text translation within Windows XP or by using the Digital Ink functions of Office 2003 to allow her to write directly to documents and preserve her handwriting style. Digital document templates were also created for Invoices and correspondences that she could fill out in Digital Ink handwriting and print off. Training for this Windows XP tablet and the various documents followed the build and configuration of this project.
