Whingate @ Armley WIFI Network Extension

As an addition to the already installed Broadband network in the office section of the building the owners of Whingate Ltd wished to be able to utilise the new WIFI technology to access network resources and the internet from other area's of the building while maintaining the freedom from trailing cables.
I surveyed and installed in the best places to provide good coverage two WIFI access points. I configured them with WPA security and set them to pass on DHCP and DNS requests to our current DHCP and DNS server within our Broadband gateway.
Once installed I set up the company’s laptops to make use of these access points and trained the owners in the use of WIFI within windows XP.
